Sto. Niņo de Bad-Asay Feast Day

Pilgrims and devotees from different places of the country come to celebrate its feast day with a thanksgiving mass of honor or the miraculous child Jesus followed with a "sirong" dance to offer their prayers and petitions.

May 29

Santa Cruzan

The celebration of Santa Cruz fiesta is the traditional thanksgiving activity and family devotion of the Caba family. A colorful celebration, which Surigaonons and visitors look forward to. Beautiful sagalas and escorts parade on the city streets in the Santa Cruz procession. Sumptuous dinner is served after the procession.

Charter Day Celebrations

Weeklong festivities marked by a sportsfest, grand parade and evening affairs, done in commemoration of the city's founding (charter) in August 31, 1970

September 9

Bonok-Bonok Maradjao Karadjao & Pasayan Festival

A day long Mardi Grass marked by street dancing festivities featuring the ethnic Mamanwa dance. The festival done in celebration of the annual fiesta honoring the city's Patron Saint San Nicolas de Tolentino.

September 22

Tilaw Sa Pagkaong Surigonon

An annual festivity held every 22nd day of September during the National Tourism Week Celebration, showcasing exotic seafood and a wide display of Surigaonon products and delicacies from the different culinary expertise of the barangayanons and establishments in the city.

October 25

Battle Of Surigao Strait

Held every 25th day of October, in commemoration of the Second World War's Greatest Naval Battle, highlighted by a pre-dawn memorial service, civil-military parade and a memorial cruise along the Surigao Strait.
